Step 5: Rainbow Series

These exciting series takes beginning readers to the next level: short stories.
Each chapter is comprised of a short story of different subjects and genre. Questions are set in each chapter to help children use the shared inquiry method: focus on the text, explore together the author’s words for meanings and implications, and bring out the many ways the children interpret and react to ideas and issues in the given text.
In this way, the Series promotes thoughtful dialogue and open debate, preparing the children to learn more about Chinese culture, to become able, responsible citizens, as well as enthusiastic, lifelong readers.
As the Series progress, the stories get longer and the questions become more in-depth. Each book is illustrated with black and white line drawings. All books are in traditional Chinese only.

《愉快閱讀系列》　作者：謝錫金

u        為初小和中小的學生編寫富生活趣味的章節故事(chapter books)。

u        以閱讀理論作為編寫的基礎，配合兒童的閱讀能力發展和興趣，設計適合的閱讀策略，提升學生的閱讀和自學能力。

u        每章節之後附有多元化活動，引導學生進行分享研討，培育創意思考；並從同學之間的協作中，明白正確的價值觀念及發揮合作精神。

u        隨書附送以語文學習及訓練閱讀技巧為目的的練習本，部分故事更備普通話朗讀CD，另設教師參考，提供適當的教學方法。

u        按閱讀能力分成四個程度，以顏色代表，由紅至綠按級遞升，共14本，供整學年使用

u        本教材適合海外小學至初中學生閱讀。

作者簡介: 謝錫金

香港大學中文系畢業。先後獲得香港大學哲學碩士、香港中文大學教育文憑、文學碩士(教育)及英國諾丁漢大學哲學博士。現任香港大學教育學院副院長，兼任母語教學教師支援中心總監。致力研究寫作思維過程、語文教學法、母語教學、識字教學法和電腦輔助中文教學等。

謝教授著作包括：《寫作新意念》、Chinese Language Education for 21^st Century: A Hong Kong Perspective；《閱讀與寫作──理論與實踐》(合著)、《電腦輔助中文閱讀理解──學習與教學》(合著)、《高效漢字教與學》(合著)、《愉快學漢字》、《綜合高效識字》、《綜合高效識字教學法》、《母語教學的實施：困難與支援》、《量表診斷寫作教學法》(合著)、《學校實用文闡釋》(合著)、《中學中國語文科寫作教學理論及設計》及《擬題語誤和語意表達》(合著)等；幼兒的語文研究有：《香港幼兒語言發展研究報告》及《小學生快速認字及提前讀寫研究》。
