Oxford Reading Tree (ORT)

The Oxford Reading Tree (ORT) is the culmination of over twenty years of research by a team of child language education experts, published by the prestigious Oxford University Press. The entire reading program is divided into 16 progressive stages, moving step-by-step from wordless books for preschoolers to secondary school levels. It encompasses a wide variety of genres, including rhymes, stories, fiction, biographies, and general knowledge.

When children read the Oxford Reading Tree, they climb up stage by stage—just like climbing a tree. Through this journey, they acquire a vast vocabulary of authentic English, master grammar, and discover British culture, all while building confidence in English and discovering the pure joy of reading. The stories feature detailed, humorous illustrations that not only spark young readers' interest but also help develop their observation skills and comprehension.

Trunk Stories (Stages 1 to 9)

The "Trunk Stories" (Stages 1 to 9) form the core of the entire reading program. They follow the adventures of a young boy named Kipper, his family, their beloved dog Floppy, and his classmates, creating a wonderful sense of familiarity for young readers.

• Stages 1 to 4: Focus on everyday life stories. (Recommended for Kindergarten: Stages 1–3)

• Stages 5 to 9: Kipper finds a magic key, and from that moment on, the stories venture into a vibrant and colorful world of imagination. (Recommended for Primary School: Stages 3–9)
