Many parents today believe that because learning and socializing are inseparable from computers and smartphones, exposing children to new technology as early as possible will guarantee superior performance. Unfortunately, this is a bittersweet misconception.

Research from several American universities has proven that children who are exposed to computers earlier and more frequently tend to have more distant relationships with their parents. Furthermore, they are relatively less adept at socializing and problem-solving.
